Bridge 4

  Our final bridge is found by the side of the B3190, just before you get to Morebath from Bampton.I have driven along this road many times and often wondered why there is a bridge just lying there.It looks so out of place,like someone just picked it up and dumped it there.Investigate a bit further and you find that this is the last rail bridge before Morebath Junction Halt and although it looks out of place now,the road once used to go over it.

You can see all the bridges mentioned in this map from 1950.If you zoom into bridge 4(green marker) on the Google map, you can compare it with this map to see how the road used to go over the bridge.
