When we went in Spring,the bluebells were all coming out and there are many patches of them along the cycle way,which add a nice splash of colour.Unfortunately most if not all of them are the invasive Spanish bluebell and not our native bluebell.

A brisk walk later and the final bridge of the walk,Manley Railway Bridge,came into view.Like Tidcome Railway Bridge,this is another wide arched bridge that is obviously too big for a single track line.It is very wet and muddy under this bridge,so watch out if you take a closer look,as poor Christine tripped on a tree root here and fell in the mud.She wasn't hurt and we both had a good laugh about it.

Annoyingly there is yet more graffiti on this bridge and a fair amout of rubbish has been dumped by the bridge.I don't quite understand the sort of person who loads up their car with rubbish and then thinks," let's go and throw it under the bridge",but then again,I don't understand many people these days.

There is a well placed picnic bench just here and it made a perfect place to stop and have our sandwiches,as well as what no packed lunch should be without,a hard boiled egg.Whilst having our lunch we had mixed feelings about our walk.It was lovely to be able to easily walk down the line like this and wouldn't it be amazing if there was a similar path down the Exe Valley Line,but also we were disappointed that it didn't go further,though ultimately we were mainly saddened that we could not go down the line by train.Obviously,being always inquisitive,we couldn't just end things there,so we walked all the way back to our car and set off to see what else we could find of the Tiverton Branch Line.
