What it Looks Like Today:Bampton to Holmingham Farm and 6 Bridges

There seemed to be less of this side of the bridge,but maybe that might be because this side hasn't got an arch,so the structure is smaller.The brickwork once again seems to be solid still,but it is overgrown,so it is quite hard to see it all.Looking up at it we could see that there was still a pece of the iron girder in situ and looking down just beneath it,we spotted a piece of girder on the river bed.
This side wasn't as interesting as the other,but being able to stand and wonder at the beauty of the River Exe made up for that.Climbing up on to the top of this side,you can easily see the raised bank of the railway,heading off towards Bridge 5.In fact there is even a large amount of the old track ballast still there.
